plan your visit- CLARION CAMPUS
A number of colleges and universities across Pennsylvania, and our surrounding region, have made plans to adjust their operations as the situation regarding COVID-19 continues to shift. We have been closely monitoring its spread and will take every possible precaution to ensure the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and visitors to our campus.
We’re excited to welcome you to Clarion University. To ensure the health and safety of the Clarion University community and our visitors, we have put in place the following measures based on public health directives from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and CDC:
We require all visitors to register in advance of arriving on campus. Due to Pennsylvania state orders effective November 25, 2020, all non-PA residents must provide evidence to Clarion University Admissions of a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of visiting campus for every member of your group.
To register for a campus visit, sign up below through our event registration. To control the density of the Admissions Office, we are limiting all families to three (3) members: the prospective student, and two (2) guests. Admitted Student Days are limited to two (2) members: the prospective student, and one (1) guest. We may not be able to accommodate walk-in visitors due to space and social distancing guidelines.
On the day of your scheduled campus visit, please check-in no more than 10 minutes prior to your visit time. Additional information on arriving to campus will be included in your confirmation and reminder emails.
For the safety of our campus community, limited residence halls will be shown on tour and we are limiting the number of interior buildings that tour groups will enter. While Clarion University is taking all precautions to safeguard our community, we cannot eliminate the risk of COVID-19 exposure and infection on campus.
You and your guests are required to bring a face covering to wear when visiting campus. If you do not have a face mask, one will be provided to you during your visit. Face coverings should cover both your nose and mouth, including masks and face shields. Due to rising COVID-19 case counts and concern over further spread of the disease, the Pennsylvania Department of Health has issued a Face Coverings Order requiring face masks to be worn in all public spaces. That order supports Clarion University’s Requirements for Social Distancing policy. Face masks should be worn at all times, including outside.
Please keep in mind that the wearing of masks and other physical distancing guidelines are for your protection as well as others’. We are a part of a close-knit community at Clarion University, which is why we must take care of one another.
Our public restrooms will be available for use. We strongly encourage abiding by public health guidelines, including washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, or using hand sanitizer.
We ask you to perform a COVID-19 symptom assessment before arriving on campus. Please refrain from visiting campus if you do not feel well or if you have been in contact with someone who has contracted COVID-19. The Commonwealth has listed numerous states where there is a high amount of COVID-19 cases. Due to the number of cases, the Pennsylvania Department of Health recommends that anyone who travel to any of these states quarantine at home for a period of 14 calendar days upon their return. If you have traveled to one of these states, please consider rescheduling your campus appointment.
