Our Mission

During this time of social distancing due to the international pandemic (COVID-19), we are as committed as ever to our mission.

The Center for Student Outreach and Success Coaching's mission is to provide a supportive environment to ease the transition of our first year students into the academic, cultural and social life of Clarion University.  The opportunities and experiences we provide are designed to build the skills, knowledge  and values necessary to achieve academic, personal and professional awareness of students in their first-year and beyond.

Clarion's students will courageously go after their dreams with the confidence to know they can.

Cu Plan for success

CU Plan for Success is a mandatory program designed to help students who have been placed on academic probation (fallen below a 2.0 GPA).  Success Coaches will guide students as they take charge of their academic success to improve their GPA.  Students will complete a module on D2L that will help them to understand:

  • What is academic probation and what does it mean for me?
  • Academic probation and my financial aid
  • First semester challenges (a self-assessment to identify factors that prevented satisfactory academic progress).

Students: Please log in to D2L to access the details, requirements, and next steps of the CU Plan for Success program.
