The rain at 2015 Homecoming didn't dampen the Golden Eagles spirit of Dr. Brenda Dede and Ernie.

PennWest Clarion will celebrate Homecoming Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. Autumn Leaf Festival will be in full swing, and Homecoming festivities will kick off Friday with the 2022 Distinguished Awards Banquet which will honor six individuals for their contributions in their work and lives.

Saturday's schedule of events begins with Eggs with Ernie from 10 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of Hart Chapel. All are welcome to enjoy free mid-morning breakfast bites with your favorite eagle: Ernie! Visitors can take part in family-friendly activities and visit information tables from various areas of campus. Don't forget to pick up your commemorative 2022 Homecoming pin.

The Butler Health System/Clarion Hospital Tournament of Leaves Parade starts at noon and will proceed down Main Street, toward Memorial Stadium. At the stadium, the Eagle End Zone Alumni Party begins at 1 p.m. At 2 p.m., Clarion Golden Eagles football will take on the California Vulcans. Homecoming royalty will be crowned at halftime.

A free shuttle service between Hart Chapel and Memorial Stadium will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Don't miss the 8-10 p.m. Clarion River Brewing performance of Brothers Incorporated & the TNT Horns, a band started by four Clarion music majors in 1987 to perform at the university's Battle of the Bands. In recent years, the band has been rehearsing together and playing shows in Pennsylvania.
