AIDS Alliance will launch new name at Erie, Clarion events

The Northwest Pennsylvania Rural AIDS Alliance is launching a new name. Effective April 25, the agency will be named PA Thrive Partnership. Launch events in Erie and Clarion will introduce the public to the new name and logo.

The Erie event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 25 at 1001 State Street, Suite #606, and the Clarion event is from 1 to 4 p.m. April 29 at Ramada by Wyndham, 45 Holiday Inn Road. Officials from PA Thrive Partnership and Clarion University will be on hand to talk about the agency's services, history and future. Free HIV testing, swag with the new name and logo, and light refreshments will be available.

PA Thrive Partnership will continue to offer services to people living with HIV in northwest Pennsylvania. Those services are: medical case management, emergency, financial assistance to those who qualify, housing opportunities, HIV medical care provided by HIV specialists, high-impact prevention services, mental health counseling, discounted pharmacy services, and referral services to ancillary agencies/primary medical services. The agency expects to add nutrition counseling, food bank services and an STI (sexually transmitted infection) clinic in the near future.
