The College of Education and Human Services offers programs to prepare professional educators and other human services personnel. Eight specialized curricula are offered in professional education: early childhood education, elementary education, environmental education, library science, music education, secondary education, special education, and communication sciences and disorders. Each teacher education curriculum is designed to meet the graduation requirements of the university, the certification requirements of the state, and the accreditation standards of various professional groups such as the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education.
