Clarion University hosts the Rho Lota chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Soceity. As "one of the most active chapters in the country," we have been recognized for our academic accomplishments and our commitment to community service. We sponsor the annual 'Reading for the Cure' event, which rasies money for breast cancer research. As a result of our efforts, we have been offical sponsors for the Pittsburgh Komen Race for the Cure. In fact, the logo "Clarion University's Engligh Club & Signma Tau Delta" appears on thousands of race t-shirts each year. In keeping with the organization's mission to foster literacy, we participate in various projects to promote and celebrate literacy, as well as attend the annual Sigma Tau Delta convention. English majors and minors are eligable for membership after completing their freshman year with a 3.0 QPA.
Sigma Tau Delta meets Wednesdays at 7:30 pm in 102 Davis.
