The Emerging Scholars Program is Divided into three Phases. There is no cost to the student for participation in the first two stages.It is customary for first year students at colleges and universities to reside in the on campus housing. During that time students meet and interact with their many of whom they will never have met, but will develop strong friendships. In an effort to simulate that experience, All Rising Juniors and Seniors will be housed in one of our on campus residential halls.(click here to see residence halls). Clarion University students will have the option of living in the newly constructed two or four student suites locates on campus.(click here to see suites) Meals will be provided in our newly constructed dining hall.(click here to see dining hall)

Phase I, Rising Junior
Students may enter Phase I in the summer after the 10th grade. Rising Juniors spend one week on Clarion campus in June. Students will be assessed, and develop skills in key subject areas. Students will also participate in workshops other activities to enhance college readiness skills.

Phase II, Rising Senior
Students who wish to participate in Phase II of the program, must successfully complete Phase I.
Rising Seniors spend two weeks on Clarion Campus in June after 11th grade. Students will build on experiences from the previous summer,and take additional courses that were not included in Phase I of the program.
Phase III
Upon high school graduation students may enroll in Clarion University as incoming freshmen and take advantage of the many opportunities available through successful completion of the emerging scholars program.
