Clarion University hosts the Rho Iota chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society. As "one of the most active chapters in the country," we have been recognized for our academic accomplishments and our commitment to community service.
We sponsor the annual Reading for the Cure event which raises money for breast cancer research. As a result of our efforts, we have been official sponsors for the Pittsburgh Komen Race for the Cure. In fact, the logo "Clarion University's English Club & Sigma Tau Delta" appears on thousands of race T-shirts each year.
In keeping with the organization's mission to foster literacy, we participate in various projects to promote and celebrate literacy.
We also attend cultural events and the annual Sigma Tau Delta convention.
