Clarion University of Pennsylvania, founded in 1867, specializes in preparing students for professional careers in fields such as education, business, and science. Clarion enrolls more than 6,700 students from 45 states and 31 countries. Offering over 90 degree programs, the university leads the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education in the number of academic programs with the nation's top accreditation.
Located in western Pennsylvania, Clarion Borough has over 6,000 residents living in a community that includes an historic main street, specialty shops, restaurants, a mall with a state-of-the-art movie theatre, and a hospital. Clarion also has a campus in nearby Oil City, Venango Campus, and offers programs at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
