Mr. Neil E. Todhunter, Interim CEO, Brim Healthcare

Neil Todhunter has a healthcare career spanning 34 years. The former President of UPMC Northwest in Seneca, Venango County, PA, he led the development of a regional medical center that has earned recognition for excellence in surgery, inpatient rehabilitation, patient safety, home health care, community value, and other measures of health care performance. Mr. Todhunter also provided leadership for partnerships with Clarion University that resulted in new programs in nursing, radiologic science, and respiratory care that have enhanced workforce development and career opportunities for citizens of the region. He currently provides services through Brim Healthcare to hospitals in transition and serves as Interim CEO of Palm Drive Hospital, Sebastopol, CA.

For his leadership and support for regional economic development and quality of life, Clarion University will award Mr. Neil Todhunter the degree Doctor of Public Service, honoris causa, at its Winter 2009 commencement ceremony.
