Clarion County Arts Council invites all artists to submit their best work to the 53rd annual Autumn Leaf Festival Art Show, to be held Oct. 1-8 in the Main Street Center. Prizes will be awarded in amateur, intermediate and professional categories. A juror's talk will highlight the opening reception, set for 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 1.

This year's juror is Clarion University alumnus Rick Minard, a newly-appointed art professor at Penn State Bradford. Minard, of Shinglehouse, Pa., earned an Associate of Arts at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting at Clarion University, and a Master of Fine Arts at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. He specializes in painting and digital print making.

Applications are due by Sept. 16. Applications may be requested by email at cjoslyn@clarion.edu (subject "CCAC ALF show"), or watch for them at at Artfunkle, Michelle's Café and other Main Street locations in Clarion.

Clarion university students and faculty will organize and hang the exhibit with assistance from other CCAC members. Volunteers are needed to staff the exhibit and may indicate their willingness to serve at cjoslyn@clarion.edu (subject "CCAC staff").
