Business Office Professional

Students completing the Business Office Professional Training Program will receive an Associate of Applied Science degree in Administration Technology (AAS-AT) from Clarion University.  CS Technologies Plus in Seneca is the technical education partner for the program.

Today's business office is highly automated, thanks to computer networks and advanced software. Business professionals need higher level abilities to perform computerized accounting, communications, human resource, customer service and marketing tasks. Combined with word processing, spreadsheet, and database skills, the graduate is prepared for an entry-level position in a modern business organization.

Can you see yourself working in an office -- using word processing, spreadsheets, presentation media, desktop publishing, Internet, and database applications? CS Technologies Plus and Erie Institute of Technology will help prepare you for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications; these demonstrate expertise. You will also be able to round out your skills by being able to perform basic PC upgrades & maintenance, as well as operate office equipment and keep the books.

Students will receive valuable preparation in:

practical foundation of business education

computer network basics
operating system troubleshooting

Students will sit for several industry certification exams which will reinforce their learning experience. Students will work closely with their adviser to determine which courses best fit their needs and goals. Your adviser will also help you to determine how to combine these courses with the required core curriculum courses each semester.
