The Suhr Library - located on the Venango campus in Oil City - supports the Bachelors and Associate Degree programs and the General Education courses that are taught at the Venango Campus and at other campuses through distance education. Two librarians, two full-time library technicians, and student assistants provide library service to students and faculty at this branch campus and at distance education locations.
The Suhr Library contains 29,000 volumes and has 175 periodical subscriptions as well as access to over 7,000 full-text journals via the World Wide Web. Suhr's print collections are supplemented by those of Carlson Library on the Clarion campus. Both collections are cataloged in one online catalog (PILOT). The Libraries are able to share their resources through a courier service that runs between the campuses twice weekly, and through electronic document delivery services.
Print resources at Suhr Library have been greatly enhanced through subscriptions to indexing and full-text databases which are available through the World Wide Web. The Library provides eight public access computer terminals so that students can use these and other electronic resources.
