Recruit on Campus

Recruitment Options

Hold an Information Session

You may give a group presentation to distribute recruiting materials, meet informally with students, and discuss your organization and its opportunities.

Step 1.
Identify two preferred visit dates.  Campus Recruiting Program visits will begin on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 and will conclude on Friday, December 4, 2009.  Spring Semester recruiting will begin on January 25, 2010 and will conclude on April 26, 2010.  Our Spring Break is March 8-12, 2010.  List your preferred visit dates on the online Campus Recruiting Request Form.
Step 2. Complete a Campus Recruiting Request Form. The form provides us with information to make arrangements and advertise your campus visit. Complete one form per visit. Due to space limitations, visits are limited to once per month or three times per semester. Requests must be submitted at least three weeks prior to your preferred dates. See our Employer Services information for additional recruiting options.
Step 3. Advertise your visit. After we receive your Campus Recruiting Request Form, we will advertise your campus visit using various methods of communication:

  • Announcements are sent to seniors and graduate students through e-mail accounts.
  • E-mail messages are sent to faculty in academic departments which represent your area of interest.
  • Your campus visit is listed the Events Calendar for students. A link to your organization's home page is created when you provide us with a web address.
  • Your campus visit is included on the Campus Recruiting Schedule handout for students.
If you would like to advertise your campus recruiting visit in the Clarion Call (a campus newspaper published on Thursdays), contact the advertising sales manager at 814-393-2380 or e-mail at call@clarion.edu.
Step 4. Make your travel arrangements. Refer to the Travel Information section (in the menu on the right of this page).

Staff an Information Table

Employers and agencies that are seeking volunteers or hiring for seasonal jobs, internship, and full-time positions are strongly encouraged to register for our career and job fairs held during the academic year.  If a conflict prevents your participation, you may schedule a date to visit campus and reserve a table to display recruiting materials, meet informally with students, and discuss your opportunities.  We typically reserve space where there is heavy student traffic, such as the Carlson Library and the Gemmell Student Complex.
