Student Advisory Council

The Student Advisory Council (SAC) is organized by the Office of the Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences.  Each student on the Council is appointed to the position by the Chair of his/her major department.  The Council consists of one student selected from each major discipline in the College of Arts and Sciences and a representative from the freshman class.

The charge of this group is to assist the College of Arts and Sciences with meeting student needs on campus and in the classroom.  In this leadership role, the students will target academic and non-academic issues that impact student retention in the Arts and Sciences.

Check out some of the photos from the SAC on our events page.

Nominations from faculty have been submitted for the 2009/2010 school year.  Students have been selected and notified of their nomination.  If you are a student and are interested in participating in a future academic year, or if you have a student in your department who you would like to nominate for the organization, contact the Dean's Office at x2225.

If you would like more information about the Student Advisory Council, please contact Kimberly J. Verdone, Assistant to the Dean, at kverdone@clarion.edu or Karena Stephens, Secretary to the Dean, at kstephens@clarion.edu.
