Special agent addresses ‘Passion and Purpose in Careers’

Rufus WilliamsRufus B. Williams will present “Passion and Purpose in Careers” at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 in Suites on Main North Theater. Attendance is free and open to the public.

Williams is assistant special agent in charge for the Financial Crimes Investigations Unit of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. He has investigated numerous complex financial crimes, including embezzlement, false pretense, public corruption, money laundering, structuring, mortgage fraud, wire fraud, bank fraud, mail fraud and elderly financial abuse.

The event, part of the 2018-19 Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, is sponsored by Martin Luther King Jr. Committee, Minority Student Services, Act 101 and the department of criminal justice.
