September 14, 2017

Clarion University - Venango Nursing Club will host its fourth annual 5K walk/run from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 12, beginning at the Oil City entrance to the Samuel Justus Trail (across from Venango campus). The event benefits the American Cancer Society.

"I am a breast cancer survivor, and some of my colleagues are, too, but sadly some have not been so fortunate," said Christina Weidle, nursing instructor and advisor to Nursing Club.

The participant who wears the "best pink attire" will receive a prize. Medals based on best times in age group will be awarded.

The cost to participate is $10 per person. Participants can pre-register online at www.makingstrideswalk.org/Erie (input zip code, select "Erie Event," select "Venango College-Clarion University-Nursing Club" team), or in person on the day of the event.
