Follett acquires Neebo retail division, begins operating Clarion University Store

July 21, 2015

Following Follett’s recent acquisition of Nebraska Book Company’s retail division, the Clarion University Store has begun a transition to Follett Higher Education Group.

Now operating more than 1,150 stores across North America, Follett has expanded its commitment to delivering first-class service and hassle-free access to Clarion University’s students, faculty and surrounding community.

With the transition of operation already underway, the university store team maintains its focus on the upcoming back-to-school season, now with greater access to inventory and the support of higher education's largest campus retail network. Faculty, staff and students should expect no interruption in service, but rather, more merchandise options than ever before.

For the classroom, Follett brings the largest inventory of course materials and a network of more than 6,000 publishers and providers to offer students a huge selection of wallet-friendly options. This includes access to Follett's textbook rental program, which saves students up to 70 percent off of the purchase price of a new textbook – driven by on-campus collaboration with departments and faculty. This risk-free, rental experience permits students to highlight, take notes and easily convert a rental to a purchase should they decide to keep the text.

Follett also brings an extensive selection of digital learning technologies, such as its proprietary BryteWave digital reader. Digital materials allow students to study anytime, anywhere, and often feature interactive learning tools like video, animation and models. These cost-saving options as well as a full range of general merchandise can be explored both in-store and online at www.eFollett.com.

"We look forward to working with Follett to provide the very best resources for our students," said Shelly Wilson, director of Clarion Students Association.

"We're excited to have an opportunity to serve Clarion University students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff and fans," said Don Germano, president of Follett Higher Education Group. "The campus store of the future is defined by the unique needs of each campus community we serve. All of us at Follett are committed to identifying the right solutions to drive affordability, access and ultimately, student success right here at Clarion University."
