Free film chronicles Americans’ lack of access to low-cost, quality health care

Clarion Young Democrats will present a free screening of a powerful new documentary, “Remote Area Medical,” an award-winning work from filmmakers Jeffrey Reichert and Farihah Zaman, at 7 p.m. April 3 in Hart Chapel. Reichert and Zaman will present the film and will be on hand for a Q&A period afterward.

“Remote Area Medical” chronicles the plight of rural Americans' lack of access to low-cost, quality health care, and the hard work of volunteers providing medical and dental care to them over the course of a few days inside the Bristol, Tenn., NASCAR speedway.
