2023 BizPitchCompetition!
The PennWest University Clarion Student BizPitch Competition was held on November 15, 2023 in the Suites on Main North Theater open to the public. The Competition was sponsored by Scott and Pamela Kroh, The Kroh Family and Robindale Energy, Bowman and Company, S&T Bank, First United National Bank. The PennWest Clarion University Small Business Development Center and Entrepreneurial Leadership Center hosted the event.
The 2023 PennWest University Clarion Student BizPitch Competition is an exciting, educational experience and is intended to give students a platform to pitch their idea for new products and business ventures. It is designed to build on the spirit of entrepreneurship by giving students an opportunity to present and develop their innovative ideas! Cash prizes awarded were;
1st - $3,000, 2nd – $2,000 3rd – $1,000. And a Fan Favorite won $250.
The 2023 BizPitch Winners were:
First Place, Gage Gray with his business Animal Buddy Care, a one-stop shop animal care facility that will treat any animal A-Z.
Second Place, Samurah Curry with her business The B.E.Y.O.N.D. the Arts Foundation, a non-profit that provides art classes to the Community from ages five and up.
Third Place, Giovanni Catalone with his business Pot of Gold, a pot that has sensors in it to monitor your plants needs straight to your phone.
FUN Bank Fan Favorite, Mackenzie Schwerzler and Pj Wheaton with their buisness Alt. Creations, a service that provides home cooked meals to college students.
