Students Win in 2020 BizPitch Competition! 

The Clarion University BizPitch Competition was held on November 18, 2020 via a Zoom webinar open to the public. The competition was sponsored by Scott and Pamela Kroh, the Kroh family, and Robindale Energy, S&T Bank, Clarion University Interhall Council, and First United National Bank. The Clarion University Small Business Development Center and Entrepreneurial Leadership Center hosted the event.

The Clarion University 2020 BizPitch competition is an exciting, educational experience and is intended to give students a platform to pitch their idea for new products and business ventures. It is designed to build on the spirit of entrepreneurship by giving students an opportunity to present and develop their innovative ideas! Cash prizes awarded were;

1st - $1,500, 2nd - $1,000, and 3rd - $500. And a Fan Favorite will win $250.

The 2020 BizPitch Winners were:

First Place and FUN Bank Fan Favorite, Taylor Leuthold with her business FollowMe, an app that facilitates group navigation and non-pinned GPS locations. It will allow users to focus on driving safely while following others, as well as having a database to store past directions.

 

Second Place, Kiara Stitt, with her company, Blonde By Kiara Joyce, a new chap stick company that specializes in unique fragrances while delivering ultra-hydration.

 

Third Place, Tamara Baker with her all-natural beauty care company made from all natural ingredients, Kojak Secrets.
