CUPay Payment Plan
Payment Plan Update due to COVID-19:
We appreciate your patience with Clarion University as we completely learn a new way of doing everything! Many of you have been asking about delaying payments on your payment plan. We are happy to inform you that we have heard you and are going to do just that!
Everyone who is on a Spring 2020 payment plan will be canceled from their plan…please don’t worry. If you still need a plan for your Spring 2020 charges, you can enroll in either a 4 month or a 3 month payment plan. There will be NO additional enrollment fees associated with these two new plans. Both plans are open now. The 4 month plan will remain open until May 8, 2020, with the first payment due May 10, 2020, and the 3 month payment plan will remain open until June 8th, 2020, with the first payment due June 10, 2020. Payments will still be automatically drawn from the bank or card you set it up with. You must set up automatic payments.
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. Thank you.
Our monthly payment plan is designed to help students and their families budget the cost of tuition and fees by spreading payments over the course of the semester. You still owe the same amount of tuition, but you now have more time to pay and your payments are smaller and more manageable.
During a regular semester, the monthly payment is divided into 5, 4, or 3 payments of the total charges for the semester, minus any financial aid. A non-refundable payment plan fee of $60 per semester will be charged to your student account. The budget amount includes tuition, fees, room and board for the current semester and cannot include prior term balances. Please see below for prior term payment plan information. Any change to an installment plan must have prior approval of the Student Accounts office. Students may adjust payment methods but cannot cancel payment plans. In the event that you need to cancel the payment plan, please e-mail email@example.com at least 5 business days prior to the due date. Please note that a late fee will be assessed on the remaining balance of the payment plan. If financial aid is awarded after the payment plan has been set up, you must continue to make regular payments until the aid is applied and the balance is paid in full. Your budget will adjust accordingly for payments received on your account.
The payments are due by the 10th of each month. A late fee of $10 will be incurred each month for late payments and will result in a registration hold on the student's account. **Two late payments will result in cancelation of the payment plan. Once registered for the payment plan, installment reminders will be sent to the student’s email and to authorized users monthly; no paper statements will be generated. Payments made outside of the contracted payment plan will not cancel your next contracted payment. All payments will be automatically drawn from the payment method set up.
** Repeated default on payment plans will result in the payment plan no longer being an eligible payment option and we will prohibit your access to the plan. **
Credit Card Convenience Fee: 2.8% (subject to change)

Do you have a prior term balance?
Let us help you avoid having your account turned over to a collection agency, the "Prior Term" plans are designed in a manner that allows you to enter in the amount of your past due balance and make monthly payments on it. These accounts do not auto adjust to the amount on your account. They do however require you to set up automatic payments.
To enroll in a “Prior Term” plan, please visit the MyClarion Portal, click on “Manage My Account” and then click the “Enroll in Payment Plan” button. Then select “term”. For this plan, you will select the prior semester term, NOT the current term.
Payments made outside of the contracted payment plan will not cancel your next contracted payment. All payments will be automatically drawn from the payment method set up.
