A new generation of service.

Zacherl Motor Truck Sales is an existing business that provides various types of heavy duty, medium duty and severe duty trucks for sale. In addition to sales, the company’s tenet emphasizes repairs and maintenance services using quality replacement parts to ensure customer satisfaction, long after the sale is realized.

Zacherl Motors has experienced significant growth since its inception over 70 years ago. At its headquarters, the company has a service garage with 14 bays, an accounting office, a radiator service shop, and a single service bay that is leased to a Caterpillar Distributor. Zacherl Motors employs 33 full-time employees and kept its labor force intact during tough times in 2008 and 2009. In terms of sales, the company is currently experiencing a solid and profitable year.

The company is owned by members of the Kahle family. In 2010, leadership of the company was transferred from Donald and Rose Marie Kahle to three of their children so that they could transition into retirement. In this way, Donald and Rose Marie ensured the business would remain in the hands of their family as it had been from its origin with Rose Marie’s father and company founder Michael Zacherl.

Mr. Patrick Kahle is the president and general operating manager; Mr. Stephen Kahle is vice president and sales associate in new and used trucks; and Mrs. Christina Kahle-Rhoades is the secretary/treasurer.

The Clarion University SBDC helped us put together a strong business plan that eventually was the key to our successful succession plan"
