Marie Lewis, owner of Pine Springs Pottery, first connected with the Clarion University SBDC in October of 2016. Beginning with a basic needs assessment, she was able to use a number of the SBDC's resources including seminars, web assessment reports, financial and business planning reports, and eventually even hired an intern through Clarion University with the help of the SBDC.

Product description
I make unique, artisan kitchen and dining ware for every day, every style.

What sets your business apart?
Each piece of my pottery is made one at a time, completely by hand. I believe that the maker and the user are connected by the work and I welcome getting to know my customers personally, making special pieces for them and sharing the behind-the-scenes look at my pottery process.

How will you be celebrating Small Business Saturday/Global Entrepreneurship Week (any online specials, giveaways, etc.?)
To celebrate Small Business Saturday, I have invited several more local, small businesses to join me for a “Country Home Open House.” Together with my family, we will welcome guests to our historic home for a relaxing shopping experience. In addition to a large selection of Pine Springs Pottery stoneware, we will feature the special tastes of Porchvue Winery, lovely primitive and Christmas décor from McCall’s Rustique, and charming Wooly Pines trees. There will be something for everyone.
