Husband and Wife Offer Diamond Quality Manufacturing Services
Published: September 9th, 2018
Black Diamond Fabrication, LLC was opened in early 2018 by James and Tina Black. Mr. Black has worked in the manufacturing industry for over 25 years and decided it was time to open his own business. Black Diamond Fabrication manufactures custom fabricated tool boxes, truck beds, and utility trailers. The Black’s also offer sales and dealership services through a separate business, Diamond Sales and Service, LLC.
The Black’s were referred to the Clarion University SBDC by the Armstrong County IDC. They needed assistance in taking the necessary steps to start a business. The SBDC worked with Mr. and Mrs. Black to develop a business plan, including three-year financial projections, to present to potential lenders. The plan included the mission of the company as well as service descriptions, market analysis, competitor analysis, and an overview of operations. In addition, the SBDC also assisted Mr. and Mrs. Black with marketing assistance to promote their new business, specifically with a website. In addition to the SBDC, the Black’s received assistance from the Armstrong County IDC for preliminary financial assistance and permitting and licensing assistance. The IDC also coordinated assistance with Senator Don White’s office.
In the manufacturing and fabrication industry, it is important to provide customers with high quality products. Black Diamond Fabrication boasts their ability to create quality specialty items, which ultimately sets them apart from competition and contributes to their success.
After obtaining their manufacturing and dealer licenses, Black Diamond Fabrication was ready to open for business. On August 31st, the Blacks hosted an “Open House” to showcase their services to the market. They credit their success to their hard work, knowledge, and dedication, in addition to the assistance provided by the Clarion University SBDC and Armstrong County IDC.
