U.S. News and World Report once again considers Clarion University among the nation’s best with five prestigious rankings.

  • Rankings include:
  • Best Online Master's in Nursing Programs at 32
  • Best Online Bachelor's Programs at 42
  • Best Online Graduate Education Programs at 58
  • Best Online Graduate in Business Programs (Non-MBA) at 76
  • Best Online MBA Programs at 117

The rankings are all in the realm of online learning.

"Clarion University of Pennsylvania excels in its delivery of high-demand online programs," said Lynne Lander Fleisher, director of Clarion Online. "We are a proud public Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education institution providing everyone with access to quality programs."

According to U.S. News and World Report, "Highly ranked programs have strong traditional academic foundations based on student-instructor access, graduation rates and instructor credentials. They also excel at educating distance learners while offering robust career and financial support."

The rankings show significant weight on the national scale but also in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Nursing's ranking, for example, is the second highest in Pennsylvania and the highest among State System schools.
For the Best Online Bachelor's Programs, Clarion fared better on the list than some well-known Pennsylvania institutions such as Duquesne, Drexel and Temple universities and better than all other State System schools that made an appearance on the list.

Clarion's Master's in Education ranking climbed from 78 to 58 in just one year. It was the third Pennsylvania school on the list, coming in ahead of the University of Pittsburgh, Drexel University and Westminster College, as well as six other State System schools.

Clarion's ranking of Best Online Graduate in Business Programs is fifth on the list for the commonwealth and above six other Pennsylvania schools.

The Best Online MBA Programs are sixth in the state and ranked higher than six other Pennsylvania schools, including four from the State System.
