Clarion University invites community to free planetarium shows

December 2, 2019

Clarion University will present several shows in December in Peirce Planetarium, Grunenwald Center for Science and Technology. The shows are free and open to the public.

Stars Over Clarion explores the December night sky and the month's celestial happenings. It takes place at 7 and 8 p.m. Dec. 5.

Season of Light traces the history and astronomy of many of the world's most enduring holiday customs, from sparkling Christmas tree lights and burning the Yule log, to kissing under the mistletoe. For parents of young children, nothing is given away regarding the man in the white beard and red suit. Season of Light is scheduled for 7 and 8 p.m. Dec. 6 and 13.
