What We Support

Learning Management System

D2L (Desire2Learn) is the learning management system used at PennWest Clarion to supplement your face-2-face or online class. Faculty and students log into the system using their MyClarion username and password.The LTC supports all aspects of faculty, staff and student use of the D2L learning environment.

Instructional Design and Technology

The LTC supports all instructional technologies used in teaching and learning at Clarion including software/hardware resources for lecture capture, video conferencing, student response systems and more. In addition, LTC staff have extensive experience and training in instructional design models for course development.

Computer Lab

The Learning Technology Center hosts a 12-station computer lab in 103 Still Hall for faculty training. Workshops are announced via a monthly LTC newsletter sent to the ALL-L listserv.

Faculty Development area

The faculty development area is for faculty to explore technology hardware and software applications. It is located in G-13 Still Hall. Please contact LTC staff for an appointment.

Digital Resources

Digital resources are available to faculty and staff through our digital resources area in the LTC in G-13 Still Hall. Laptops and projectors are available for short term loan to faculty and staff for instructional use and presentations. Please refer to the faculty and staff equipment loan site for policies, procedures and the reservation form.  

Smart Classrooms

PennWest Clarion has over 100 SMART® classrooms on campus. A SMART® classroom features SMART® technology with a variety of multimedia display options. The Center for Computing Services and Learning Technology Center staff support all components of the SMART® classrooms.

Radio and TV

The Learning Technology Center staff also support the technical operations of the radio and television stations in Becker Hall.
