SPRING MEETING

MARCH 18TH

It’s the end of Spring Break.  Drop your student off at the residence hall and then stop by for some refreshments and conversation before heading back home! Come when you can; stay as long as you like

 

1:30PM – 2:00PM Committee Meetings*

2:00PM – Welcome

2:15PM – 3:15PM  - Rountable Conversations

 

Clarion representatives and students will answer questions and address issues that are on YOUR mind!

  • To Pledge or Not to Pledge – Members of Clarion’s Greek community will discuss fraternity and sorority life at the university.
  • So My Student Is Graduating?  Now What? – What can parents expect with regards to requirements, fees, applications, ceremonies, etc. as their senior students prepare to graduate from CUP?  And what about life after graduation?
  • Everything You Wanted to Know About College But Were Afraid To Ask Part II – In a follow up from the informative Orientation session, members of the CUP Orientation team, parents, and representatives from Family/Parent Services answer the questions for which you still don’t have an answer!

Parent Council Mission

The mission of the Clarion University Parent Council (CUPC)  promotes positive relationships between CUPC members and the university and creates a support/outreach network for their concerns. The organization assists  CUPC members with the the transition from high school to college as well as helping to inform parents/families of prospective, current, and former students of Clarion University activities and programs. The organization supports to the mission of Clarion University and the Clarion University Foundation, Inc.  View the CUPC Constitution.

How you can get involved:
Parents/guardians of Clarion University students are automatically members of the CUPC. There is an opportunity for you to take a more active role in your student's education by joining the CUPC Governing Board. The CUPC Governing Board consists of the Chair, Co-Chair, Treasurer, Special Events Committee, Parent-to-Parent Committee, and Communications Committee.
