2007 Cheerleaders Try Outs:

Try-outs are scheduled for November 6, 2007, 8 PM. All spots on the squad are open. I am anticipating the squad being comprised of up to 16 women and 8 men; plus the Golden Eagle mascot(s). These numbers represent eight co-ed couples and two all-women stunt groups. At this try-out, you are responsible for your own accommodations and meals. Bring your insurance information (company, policy numbers) and emergency contact information. Try-out in plain dark shorts and a light colored shirt with cheerleading shoes.

Other Information:

Required skills for try-outs include the CU fight song/dance and a cheer; jumps (toe touch and one other); partner stunts: ALL WOMEN BASES: elevator/ twist-cradle, elevator extension/ cradle, liberty, and an ELITE** stunt; CO-ED: hands extension, liberty, heel stretch, an other ELITE** stunt; gymnastics, including a standing back handspring and a two handspring minimum tumbling pass; and the candidate's own routine (showcasing your best quality: another jump or partner stunt; tumbling; a cheer or dance; ...).

**ELITE stunts: cupie (awesome) scorpion, arabesque, bow and arrow, scale, heel stretch or torch
 

Cheerleaders MUST maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA and must be on good academic standing.
