Global Entrepreneurship Week
Over the next five days, the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) network will be hosting events and seminars as part of their participation in Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), an initiative of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation running from November 16-20, 2015.
GEW is a week-long series of events designed to inspire people to explore their potential
as self-starters and innovators. Across Pennsylvania, the SBDCs join with thousands
of partner organizations in 160 countries as part of GEW. SBDCs will host events for
entrepreneurs and small business owners including topics such as: what it takes to
start a business, social media tactics, technology, business financing and more. Local
business owners will be recognized and rewarded, student start-ups will vie for big
prizes, and aspiring entrepreneurs will take the first step to business ownership.
Always a dedicated participant, the Penn State SBDC and various other organizations across the university have participated in GEW since 2009. The event has grown quite a bit since its beginnings. Global Entrepreneurship Week at Penn State is bigger than ever this year. More than 100 events will be hosted at University Park, and many will be available via live stream for those who cannot attend. For more information, visit here.
