Cable hook-up (for television), local telephone service, and internet access are
all included in your housing fees. These services are provided through
Windstream.
All of our residence halls have had sprinkler systems installed over the last few years. Please review your homeowner's policy to see if you are covered in the event of water damage from a sprinkler.
Cell phone reception may be limited in the halls due to the volume of people within a limited geographic area. Long distance service is available through
Windstream, or students may wish to utilize a pre-paid calling card. Local calling (on- and off-campus) is free.
Residents of Nair and Wilkinson are permitted to have one refrigerator (4.0 cubic feet or smaller) and one microwave (750 watts or smaller) per room. Becht residents can only have a 4.0 cubic foot refrigerator. No mircofridges or stand alone microwaves. There are microwaves for student use in the hall. Givan and Ballentine residents can have microfridges or stand alone refrigerators (4.0 cubic feet or smaller). However, they can not have stand alone microwaves.
Your room comes furnished with a twin bed, a desk, dresser, wardrobe (either built in or stand alone), desk chair,
phone jack, computer port, and 1 cable jack (this must be shared with roommate).
Candles and incense are not permitted in any residence hall (even for decorative purposes).
Cooking appliances (indoor grills, sandwich makers, toasters, toaster ovens, etc.) are not permitted in any building.
