Becht Hall, named for J. George Becht, Principal of Clarion State Normal School, houses 160 women. Erected in 1908, Becht has been placed on the Pennsylvania Register of Historic Places due to its unique architecture.
Becht's rooms vary in size and layout creating a pleasant living arrangement. The first floor of Becht houses the Clarion University Multicultural Center, and faculty offices for psychology and modern languages. Becht residents enjoy a variety of activities throughout the year, and often volunteer to help with community projects.
