CLARION WRESTLERS LOSE TO RIDER & RUTGERS

(Lawrenceville, N.J.): Clarion traveled to Rider on Saturday afternoon and dropped a double dual against Rider (24-16) and Rutgers (23-9) at Alumni Arena.

Ivanco gave Clarion a 4-0 lead with a 10-2 major decision over Ilyass Elmasouri at 125. He used a takedown and a three point near fall in the first to take a 5-0 lead and never looked back.

The pivotal bouts came at 133 and 141, where Rob LaBrake lost 3-1 in overtime to tom Lorenzo and Lascari lost a 9-8 decision to Fred Rogers in the final seconds.

LaBrake appeared to have a late, third period takedown, but the official ruled LaBrake out of bounds. Lorenzo scored 10-seconds into overtime.
