CLARION’S HARRISON NAMED PSAC “WRESTLER OF THE WEEK”
Clarion University wrestler Hadley Harrison (So. McKean/General McLane), a 149-pounder, was named the PSAC “Wrestler of the Week today for his performance last week against #14 ranked Edinboro.
Harrison won his individual match over Edinboro’s Daryl Cocozzo 3-1, registering a takedown with 7 seconds left in the match to get the win. The win raised Harrison’s record to 14-4 this season and avenged an earlier 3-2 loss to Cocozzo in the PSAC Championships. Cocozzo won the PSAC title at 149.
Harrison is a co-captain of the Golden Eagle wrestling team for 2007-2008. Last year, as a true freshman, he posted a 21-19 overall record, placed 5th at PSAC’s and 6th at EWL’s at 149-pounds. He is a member of SAAC on campus as well as FCA.
Harrison is the son of Daniel and Kathy Harrison of McKean, Pa. Hadley is an Elementary Education major at Clarion.
CLARION NOTES: The Golden Eagles are 6-8 overall this season and 0-1 in the EWL under second year head coach Teague Moore… Clarion visits West Virginia tonight with match time at 7:30pm … The Eagles return home on Friday night to wrestle Duquesne and Wagner at Waldo S. Tippin Gym starting at 5:30pm.
