CLARION TOPPLES POINT PARK 76-57
CLARION – For the third straight game, the Clarion University women’s basketball team had five players score in double figures helping the Golden Eagles to a 76-57 win over Point Park Tuesday at Clarion’s Tippin Gym.
Sara Pratt led the way for Clarion (3-0) recording her second double-double in three outings with 18 points and 10 rebounds while also blocking two shots and handing out two assists.
Janelle Zabresky chipped in with her first career double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds) while also adding five steals, four blocks and an assists.
Ashley Grimm had 10 points, eight assists and three steals, while My’Kea Cohill added 16 points, three assists and three steals. Katrina Greer added 14 points.
Ashleigh Hays led Point Park (1-3) with 16 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals, and Marissa Reinhard added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Phylicia Swain chipped in with 11 points, nine boards for the Pioneers.
Clarion led 37-31 at halftime.
Clarion returns to action Nov. 27 at Findlay.
