CLARION REMAINS NO. 2 IN LATEST EAST REGION POLL
The Clarion University women’s basketball team remained No. 2 in the latest NCAA Division II East Region poll released Feb. 2.
The Golden Eagles (17-3 overall, 5-0 PSAC-West) were ranked behind Charleston, W.Va., who beat Clarion 89-54 Nov. 28.
The poll, which includes games through Jan. 30, has Fairmont State at No. 3, California at No. 4 and Anderson (SC) at No. 5.
Clarion won two games last week beating Slippery Rock 87-51 and California 71-59. The Golden Eagles then beat Edinboro 77-67 Wednesday at Clarion.
The Golden Eagles return to action Saturday when they host IUP at 6 p.m.
