GOLDEN EAGLES GODWIN NAMED PSAC-WEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK

            Clarion University senior forward Shay Godwin (Dayton, Ohio/Colonel White) is the PSAC-West Player of the Week after leading the Golden Eagles to a 2-0 week.

            Godwin averaged 21.5 points and 18.5 rebounds per game in wins over Kutztown (86-41) and West Chester (82-73) while helping Clarion improve to 10-3 on the season.

            Godwin had 18 points and a career-high 20 rebounds vs. Kutztown Saturday and added 25 points and 17 rebounds vs. West Chester Sunday. She is just the 11^th player in school history to record a 20-rebound game.

            During the week, Godwin hit 51.6 percent of her shots (16 of 31) and 78.6 percent (11 of 14) of her free throws.

            On the season, Godwin is averaging 15.5 ppg and 9.5 rpg while shooting 60.4 percent from the field. She is fifth in the PSAC in scoring and rebounding and first in shooting.

            The Golden Eagles return to action Wednesday when they travel to Shippensburg for the PSAC-West opener.
