GAME NOTES: Both teams enter the game with 2-3 PSAC-West records and in a three-way tie for fourth place with IUP a game back of Shippensburg and Slippery Rock for second/third place meaning the winner will be in decent shape in the PSAC-West race for the playoffs (Top four get in), while the loser will be off the pace … This is the final game for each team in the first half of the PSAC-West season.

CLARION NOTES: After a fast 7-3 start, the Golden Eagles have been very up-and-down in their last eight games going 3-6 … Clarion hasn’t won two in a row since Dec. 17-18 … Shay Godwin was the co-PSAC-West Player of the Week last week after averaging 24.6 ppg and 13.0 rpg while shooting 62.5% from the field … She scored 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in Clarion’s win over Lock Haven Wednesday and then had a career-high 29 points to go with 11 rebounds in just 29 minutes of action in Clarion’s loss to Shippensburg Saturday … The Golden Eagles had rallied from a double-digit second-half deficit Saturday against Ship to tie the game at 62 only to watch the Lady Raiders hit a three-pointer with a half minute to play and the one of two free throws with 7.5 seconds left to seal the win … Heather Cigich has 14 double-doubles this season and 42 in 72 career games … Godwin has added 10 double-doubles on the year … Cigich needs just 25 points to move into a tie for fifth place in scoring all-time at Clarion. She has 1,194 points, while Jeannine Tyler (1989-92) has 1,219 career points … Clarion leads the PSAC in rebounding averaging 45.1 rpg per contest & the Golden Eagles are tied for first in the conference in rebounding margin at +9.5. Clarion, however, is 10th in the conference in turnover margin at -2.47 (22.0 turnovers per game).

EDINBORO NOTES: The Fighting Scots are coming off a 61-49 home loss to California Sunday holding Cal to a season-low 61 points … Edinboro started the season 10-2 including a 7-game win streak … But since then the Fighting Scots have gone juts 4-4 losing once, winning twice, losing once, winning twice and losing again … Edinboro is second in the conference in defense allowing just 58.4 ppg and it is a strong free-throw shooting team ranking second in the PSAC at 74.8 percent … Edinboro is last in the conference in rebounding margin at -4.6, but first in the conference in turnover margin at +7.25.
