RECENT CLARION-SRU SERIES HISTORY: Clarion has won three of the past five meeting after Slippery Rock had won eight in a row … Before that streak, Clarion has dominated winning 10 of 12 … Before Clarion blew the Rock out earlier this season, the past three games had been tight affairs decided by a total of 11 points with Slippery Rock winning twice and Clarion once.

GAME NOTES: This game has major PSAC-West playoff implications … Slippery Rock leads Clarion by one game for the fourth and final PSAC playoff berth out of the PSAC-West … A win by the Golden Eagles would actually move Clarion into the fourth spot by themselves thanks to what would be a season sweep of Slippery Rock. Both teams have three contests left after this one. Clarion is at Lock Haven and Shippensburg and hosts Edinboro, while Slippery Rock is at IUP and Lock Haven and hosts California.

CLARION NOTES: Clarion broke a three-game losing streak with the win over IUP Saturday … Heather Cigich had a monster night for the Golden Eagles with 21 points, a career-high 21 rebounds, , three assists, five steals and a blocked shot. Last week she averaged 16.5 ppg, 17.5 ppg, 3.5 apg, 3.5 spg and was Special Mention PSAC-West … Cigich is now fifth in school history in points (1,249) and rebounds (784) … Cigich has 17 double-doubles this season and has scored in double figures in 30 straight games and 42 of her last 43 … Her 435 points this season are 10^th all-time in a single season at Clarion … Cigich isn’t the only double-double machine for the Golden Eagles … Shay Godwin has 11 double-doubles in 20 games.

                        Tonight is “Spirit Night” at Tippin Gym. The events is sponsored by the UAB/Student Senate/the Clarion Athletic Department/Panhellemic Council/InterHall Council. Events include

CAMPUS FEST DISCOUNT IF EAGLES COMBINE FOR 140 POINTS – Everyone in attendance will receive $5 off one of the two main Campus Fest events if the Clarion men’s and women’s teams combine to score at least 140 points tonight … The events fans can chose between are the April 25 concert featuring Fuel as the headline act along with Diamond Rio and Kelis or the April 28 comedian show given by Jim Brewuer.
