CLARION NOTES: After a fast 7-3 start, the Golden Eagles have been very up-and-down in their last eight games going 3-5 Clarion is looking to win two in a row for the first time sine Dec. 17-18 On Wednesday against Lock Haven, Shay Godwin (20 points, 15 rebounds) and Heather Cigich (19 points, 13 rebounds) each recorded double-doubles to lead Clarion to a 71-56 The tandem leads the PSAC in double-doubles with Cigich having 13 and Godwin nine Cigich now has 41 double-doubles in 71 career games and is now just 41 points shy of moving into fifth place in scoring all-time at Clarion She has 1,178 points Cigich also has 728 career rebounds and needs 36 to move into fifth place in school history.
SHIPPENSBURG NOTES: The Lady Raiders are coming off a 71-60 loss at California Ship led by four at halftime but California rallied in the second half for its 45th straight home win 27 turnovers killed the Lady Raiders Shanna Oaddams was 9 of 10 shooting and had 19 points and nine rebounds to lead Ship, while Katie Bray had 17 points After a 7-1 start, the Lady Raiders have gone just 4-6 in their last 10 including two straight losses and four losses in their past six games.
