GOLDEN EAGLES STEINER NAMED PSAC-WEST CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK

For the second consecutive week, Clarion University outside hitter Christina Steiner is the PSAC-West Volleyball Player of the Week after being named Co-Player of the Week for the week ending with matches Sept. 8

Steiner helped the Golden Eagles (10-0 going into Tuesday’s match at Slippery Rock) to a 4-0 finish at the Carolina Challenge over the weekend. She posted 59 kills and 55 digs while adding seven blocks for the week. In the process, she went over 1,000 career kills (1,008) to become the seventh player in school history to do so. Her play also helped the Golden Eagles to the best start in school history with the 10-0 record.

Clarion returns to action tonight (Tuesday) when it opens PSAC-West play at Slippery Rock.
