CLARION’S BULL SETS SCHOOL RECORD FOR KILLS IN A SEASON

With 25 kills in a 3-1 loss at California Tuesday night, Clarion University senior outside hitter Melanie Bull (York/Susquehannock) set the school record for kills in a season with 551 breaking the old mark of 548 set by Bull last season.

Bull also holds the school single-season record in digs with 602 in 2001, and she is the school’s all-time leader in career digs (1,965) and kills (1.893).

NOTES: Clarion is 25-8 on the season and 4-4 in the PSAC-West. The Golden Eagles are tied with IUP for third place with three games left. California is one game behind at 3-5. The top three teams in the West will make the PSAC Playoffs ... Clarion ends the season with a home game against Slippery Rock Nov. 4 and at Edinboro Nov. 8.
