CLARION WINS PSAC-WEST OPENER AT CAL 3-0
CALIFORNIA -- Clarion's women's
volleyball team started PSAC-West play in grand fashion with a 3-0 victory at
California Tuesday night.
The Golden Eagles (9-0 overall, 1-0 PSAC-West),
off to a school-best start, won by scores of 30-23, 30-15, 30-26 to keep their
perfect season intact. Clarion has now won all nine matches by 3-0 scores.
Melanie Bull led Clarion with 16 kills and eight
digs, while Beth Stalder had six kills and three blocks. Jackie Hill had 31
set assists and 15 digs, Sara Heyl had six kills and nine digs, Tonya Zatko
had seven kills and six blocks and Colleen Sherk had six blocks and four digs.
Clarion is back in action at 6 p.m. Saturday at
IUP.
