GOLDEN EAGLE’S HILL NAMED PSAC-WEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jackie Hill, Clarion University’s junior setter, is the PSAC-West Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 3
Hill (Seven Valleys/Susquehanna) helped Clarion, who is ranked third in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region, to a 3-0 record during the week by averaging 12.36 assists, 3.55 digs and 1.09 blocks per game. One of her key performances came in a 3-2 win over Mt. Olive, the No. 4 team in the Atlantic Region. She registered 60 assists, 20 digs and five blocks. She also posted 35 assists, 6 digs and 4 blocks in a 3-0 win over Lock Haven, and had 41 assists, 13 digs and 8 kills in a 3-0 win over Shippensburg.
Hill, who holds both the single-season (1,552 - 2001) and career (4,299) set assist records at Clarion is a Biology Major at Clarion. She is also a Clarion and PSAC "Scholar-Athlete" (GPA of 3.25 or above) and is the daughter of Bob and Carol Hill.
