RICHARD; KRESS WIN EVENTS AT BUCKNELL INVITE

LEWISBURG – Erin Richard and Diane Kress each won individual events to pace a solid effort by the Clarion University women’s and men’s indoor track and field teams this weekend at the Bucknell Invitational.

Richard won the 3,000 in a school-record and PSAC Qualifying time of 9:59.86, while Kress took home top honors in the triple jump with a leap of 36-9.5 while also finishing sixth in the long jump and 11th in the 60-meter hurdles.

For the men’s team, the 4x400 relay team of Dan Patton, Frank Ehrensberger, BJ Roth and Mark Simbeck set the school record in a time of 3:26.51 while taking fifth.

Ehrensberger added a second-place ending in the 200-meter dash (22.89) while also taking fourth in the 400 (50.6), while Patton was fourth in the 200 (23.12) and fifth in the 60 (7.12). Roth was seventh in the 400 (51.0), while Dan King was fourth in the high jump (6-3.25). Bill Herrmann was fifth in the 5,000 (15:43.35) and Travis Cyphert was right behind him (15:44.68).
