FOUR INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD RECORDS FALL AT SLIPPERY ROCK

            Four Clarion University indoor track and field records were set Saturday at Slippery Rock.

            Two women’s records were set and two men’s records were achieved.

            Andrea Strickenberger (Fr., Leeper/North Clarion) set the school record in the women’s 55 Hurdles in a time of 9.4 seconds. The previous record was 9.75 set by Jennifer Klock in 2003.

            Diane Kress (Fr., Pittsburgh/North Hills) set the school record in the women’s triple jump with a leap of 34-4.5. The previous mark was 31-7 set by Kristen Werder in 2003.

            Ben Bevevino (Jr., Clarion/Clarion) set the school record in the men’s 55 Hurdles in a time of 7.4 seconds. The previous record was 8.81 set by Conrad Warner in 2003.

            Jake Grantz (So., Kittanning/Ford City) set the record in the men’s shot put with a throw of 42-2.4. Dan Patton (41-7) set the previous record in 2005.            

            Clarion returns to action Friday and Saturday at Bucknell.
