Carrie Bullman (Chicora/Karns City) will represent Clarion University’s women’s track and field team at the NCAA Division II Championships May 23-25 at Angelo St. University in San Angelo, Texas.

Bullman qualified for the NCAA’s in the javelin with a season-best and school-record throw of 143-2 at the PSAC Championships May 9-11 at Kutztown University. Bullman’s throw was good for second at the meet.

"I am very happy for Carrie," Clarion’s eighth-year head coach Pat Mooney said. "She has worked hard all season, and this is a nice reward for her."

Bullman, a sophomore Secondary Education/Social Studies major, is the son of Don Bullman and Sherry Bullman.

NOTES: Clarion’s women’s team finished 7th at the PSAC’s with 39 points ... the last Golden Eagle women’s track and field team member to qualify for the NCAA’s was Melissa Yearous. Yearous earned NCAA All-American honors with a fourth-place finish in the high jump last season.
