KELOSKY NAMED PSAC-WEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Clarion University sophomore shortstop Kara Kelosky (Ellwood City/Riverside) is the first PSAC-West Player of the Week for the 2007 season.

Kelosky was a huge factor in Clarion going 4-4 on its season-opening trip to Ft. Pierce, Fla., last week hitting .480 (12 of 25) including a home run and four doubles. She added eight RBIs, eight runs scored and a walk while also stealing a base.

GOLDEN EAGLE NOTES: Clarion’s last PSAC-West Player of the Week was Kristin Klinger April 22, 2003 … In 2004, Clarion’s April Shannon was PSAC-West Pitcher of the Week three times with the last of those being April 13, 2004 … Clarion (4-4) returns to action March 28 at Seton Hill.
