CLARION’S HENDERSON NAMED PSAC-WEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK

            Ricky Henderson, a senior forward for Clarion University, is the PSAC-West men’s basketball Player of the Week.

            Henderson averaged a double-double over the weekend (16 ppg, 10 rpg) while helping Clarion go 1-1 on a PSAC-West crossover trip to Mansfield and Bloomsburg.

            The 6-6 Henderson had 19 points and 12 rebounds in a 67-65 loss to Bloomsburg Sunday, while adding 13 points and eight rebounds in an 82-77 win over Mansfield Saturday. Henderson’s double-double vs. Bloomsburg was his first of the season and ninth in his two years at Clarion.

            On the season, Henderson, who has played in three of Clarion’s four games, is averaging 13.3 ppg and 9.0 rpg while adding three blocks and six steals.

            Clarion is 2-2 on the year and returns to action Wednesday when it hosts PSU-Beaver at 8 p.m.
